In Iran, although the statistics are not officials, surgeons estimate that about 100.000 rhinoplasties are done each year. Iran is the first country in the world to carry out this kind of operations.

Through my pictures, I established a parallel between, on the one hand, those operations that modify the flesh and body to match some predefined beauty standards, and on the other hand, highlight elements of the representation of Beauty in Iran through rare images of women published in magazines or displayed in the streets.
